Beacom College
Named officially Wilmington Business College in the beginning, Beacom College was something of a branch off from Goldey College by its founder, W. H. Beacom. A former teacher at Wilmington Commercial College, William Henry Beacom was a rising star in business academia at the turn of the century, and the combination of his ambition and the personal differences between he and H. S. Goldey was a catalyst for him to venture out on his own in the year 1900. The two schools would compete for a half-century until eventually merging together in 1951.

Goldey-Beacom College
Starting in 1951, "Goldey-Beacom College" has been the official name of the institution, ending not only the decades long parade of name changes to challenge Constantinople but also dissolving the rivalry between two schools by way of unity. This collection is the largest in the archives and displays many different of aspects of the college in its entirety across its history.
