Hunter Schubert Mind of loneliness (2023) Collage of online images* This image expresses the collective emotions I have felt throughout the past couple of years while battling with my mental health. After years of foster homes, I got adopted before I turned five, after adjusting to having a true family, my mom moved my twin and I to North Carolina right before our sixth-grade year. I had lost my grandfather and aunt right before moving so all the pain and loneliness of losing the one person which I was really close with, my grandfather, continued into isolation when I moved. More family members passed during my high school years. Then came the years of isolating depression, anxiety, and battling insecurities. I was going through figuring out my identity which led to coming out to friends and family. My mental health got bad, and I turned to the gym as my mental escape, till this day it is the one place I can get out of my head and leave happy every time. *This collage was created with the use of online images and PowerPoint on 24 October 2023.
